Michael Cantú
Michael Cantú started at Primo Artists as an intern in April 2024 and joined the core team as Managerial Assistant in September 2024.
In his role as Managerial Assistant, Michael handles a variety of key functions across the Management division in assisting with artist and presenter relations and carrying out work to increase operational efficiency.
As an intern, Michael developed skills in digital engagement and content creation through his work in Primo’s Social Media division, providing support in promoting artist achievements and enhancing the agency’s online presence.
Michael is proficient in German and Spanish, which he uses to support the company’s global reach and connect with a diverse range of international partners and clients.
A trained cellist and 2023 Sphinx MPower Artist Grant recipient, Michael holds a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School and a Master of Music from the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Germany. He was awarded a Fulbright Study/Research grant to Germany for the 2022-2023 academic year. His performance experience includes solo, chamber and orchestral appearances at prestigious venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Berlin’s Konzerthaus and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie.
