Itzhak Perlman film to be released in theaters in March
Exciting news! The film about Itzhak Perlman, entitled ‘Itzhak’, will be released in theaters next month! It will open on March 9, 2018 in New York at Landmark Cinema 57th Street and Quad Cinema and on March 16, 2018 in Los Angeles.
Directed by Alison Chernick, the film has been touring the film festival circuit and garnering high praise! It won “Audience Award” for Best Documentary Film at the 2018 Miami Jewish Film Festival and “Best of Fest” at the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival.
A co-production of Voyeur Films and American Masters Pictures, ‘Itzhak’ was produced by Chernick and executive produced by Michael Kantor and Penny Lieberman. The film, which takes an in-depth look at Itzhak Perlman, widely considered the world’s best violinist, will be released by Greenwich Entertainment. Greenwich co-managing director Ed Arentz said, “We’re delighted … Alison has created an enchanting portrait of a virtuoso that will charm Mr. Perlman’s legions of fans and make many more.”
