PRIMO ARTISTS LAUNCHES PUBLIC RELATIONS DIVISION AND WELCOMES KATY SALOMON AS VICE PRESIDENT, PUBLIC RELATIONS

NEW YORK (May 23, 2022) — Primo Artists announces the launch of a Public Relations Division and welcomes Katy Salomon as Vice President, Public Relations effective immediately. The agency represents 12 Artist Management clients and 14 Social Media clientsand now represents a roster of Public Relations clients to shape and tell the stories of artists and raise their profiles in an ever-evolving media world.
 
Charlotte Lee, Founder of Primo Artists, said: “In November 2020, we launched our Social Media Division, born out of the pandemic which revealed how eagerly artists and audiences seek to be connected beyond the stage. Since then, we have been utilizing our expertise in social media to extensively promote the work of artists beyond our artist management roster whilst at the same time managing PR for key artists such as James Gaffigan and Gemma New. We understand artists in a meaningful way, and we share their stories and build their visibility with great care. Now it is time to extend our PR work beyond our management roster and introduce a new roster of artists with the launch of our Public Relations Division.

ABOUT KATY SALOMON
Katy Salomon has a decade of experience in public relations and brand strategy and is recognized for her brilliant craft and execution of press and marketing campaigns for artists, arts institutions, and recording projects. With a specialized expertise in album promotion, she has facilitated GRAMMY Award®-winning press campaigns for The Philadelphia Orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, The Crossing, guitarist Jason Vieaux, and GRAMMY Award®-nominated albums by composer Julia Wolfe with the New York Philharmonic, baritone Will Liverman, composer Anna Thorvaldsdóttir, composer Du Yun, International Contemporary Ensemble and more.
 
Salomon started her publicity career working for the legendary Lois Cohn on accounts such as the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts and the Ravinia Festival, and for Christina Jensen PR/Jensen Artists where her accounts included Sony Masterworks, Bang on a Can and American Composers Orchestra.
 
For the last five years, Salomon worked for Morahan Arts and Media as Account Director, where she managed public relations for select titles on Decca and Deutsche Grammophon released through Verve Label Group, and she managed PR and digital marketing campaigns for artists and institutions such as the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, International Contemporary Ensemble, composer Anna Clyne, Alarm Will Sound, American Composers Forum, Sphinx Organization, Kronos Quartet, The Crossing and many others.
 
A trained cellist, Salomon has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida State University (cum laude) and a Masters of Arts in Music Business from New York University. Prior to commencing her professional work, Salomon interned for a record label and two PR firms and studied corporate and consumer product branding at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
