Primo Welcomes Seong-Jin Cho!
Primo Artists is delighted to welcome pianist Seong-Jin Cho to our roster! Seong-Jin attracted worldwide attention in 2015 when he won the Chopin International Piano Competition, one of the world’s most prestigious piano competitions. In his native South Korea, his concerts sell out in mere minutes and his multi-platinum Deutsche Grammophon album was the top-selling classical music release in a decade. Macelaru Opens NSO/Milwaukee Seasons
Following his inaugural season as Music Director of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, Cristian Măcelaru led two highly successful season-opening subscription programs with both the National Symphony and Milwaukee Symphony. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel proclaimed he “brought emotional depth to the performance, moving from moments of grandeur, gravitas and unmistakably Russian flavor to sunny playfulness and searing drama.” Read the complete review here!
Beatrice Wins Gramophone Award
In September, Beatrice Rana won “Young Artist of the Year” at the 2017 Gramophone Awards ceremony in London. To watch her performance of Schumann/Liszt's “Widmung” at the ceremony, click here.

“ITZHAK” Documentary Premieres
Renowned documentary filmmaker Alison Chernick has been following Itzhak Perlman around the world the past two seasons, and the resulting documentary, “ITZHAK”, will be premiered at the 2017 Hamptons International Film Festival. It will open the Festival’s 25th anniversary season. Perlman will be in attendance at the premiere on October 5th at the Guild Hall of East Hampton. Seven other films will also have their premieres at the festival, and luminaries in attendance include Alec Baldwin and Jennifer Garner. More here.
