Tune in to CBS on Friday November 2 at 11:35pm EDT to see Itzhak Perlman make an appearance on the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of his appearance on The Ed Sullivan show! Perlman recently performed opening-night gala concerts with the San Francisco Symphony and Indianapolis Symphony and play/conduct concerts with the Houston Symphony. His documentary entitled “Itzhak” – which has appeared in over 150 theaters around the world from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv and London to Seoul – made its television premiere on PBS’s American Masters. The film can be viewed for free through November 10 at PBS.org!

Earlier this month, in celebration of the 20th year anniversary of the release of the award-winning film The Red Violin, Joshua Bell joined forces with the New York Philharmonic and Michael Stern to perform the complete soundtrack to John Corigliano’s Academy Award-winning score live to screen.

Seong-Jin Cho has taken North America by storm this month with his 13-city tour! He played nearly all sold-out recitals in 7 cities around the continent, from Toronto’s Koerner Hall to L.A.’s Disney Hall, with the Los Angeles Times writing: “He is on the threshold of a major career”. This week he makes his Philadelphia Orchestra debut with David Afkham. On November 16, Deutsche Grammophon releases his newest album featuring Mozart K. 466 with Yannick Nézet-Séguin. He then tours Asia with Antonio Pappano and the Santa Cecilia Orchestra and makes his debut with the Bayerische Rundfunk under Mariss Jansons.

Our newly signed maestro Christian Reif is making waves wherever he goes! Following on the success of his NYC debut at Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival in August, this Fall he made highly successfully debuts with the Hong Kong Philharmonic and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Next month he leads a production of Pagliacci at San Jose Opera, and in January he leads the San Francisco Symphony in subscription concerts on Prokofiev 5 and the World Premiere of a new cello concerto by Andrew Norman.
