Nicola Benedetti and her Foundation collaborated with her father Gio Benedetti and his company Green Cross Training to promote wellbeing through a series of webinars offering help to those in need of mental support and encourage healthier home and work environments.

The wellbeing webinar series began on December 1. The final day of the series was on December 17.

Since the launch of the wellbeing sessions, Benedetti and her Foundation have received positive media attention.

Rosie Pentreath of Classic FM highlighted the wellbeing sessions as a way to “help ourselves and each other through the continuing tough months.”

The Strad described the webinar series as a vehicle for people to “tackle some of those anxieties” that may have arisen from “furlough, redundancy and lockdowns.”

Brian Ferguson of The Scotsman featured the virtual webinars, explaining how “[participants] [explored] the importance of “selfcare,” key coping strategic such as talking, walking, giving and volunteering, common triggers such as seasonal affective disorder, isolation, loneliness and sadness, and what it means to be a health musician.”

Andy Gotts of Classical Music Magazine highlighted that “violinist Nicola Benedetti [offered] mental health and wellbeing support over the festive season” and the “expertise [of renowned health experts were] made available to those who [took] part in the Winter Wellbeing webinars”.

Colin’s Column further explained the collaborative nature of the webinar series by explaining, “GCT joined forces with the Benedetti Foundation and together they [invited] individuals, groups and organizations to support one another and sponsor seats to help those in need.”
