Primo Artists internship program now accepting applications for Fall 2020
Based in New York, Primo Artists is a classical music agency established as one of the leading artist management agencies in North America. Founded in 2015 by Charlotte Lee, the agency prides itself on its selective roster of several of the world’s finest classical artists, from rising stars to household names: violinist/conductor Itzhak Perlman, violinists Joshua Bell and Nicola Benedetti, pianist Seong-Jin Cho, Beatrice Rana and conductors Cristian Macelaru, James Gaffigan, Christian Reif, Gemma New and composer Wynton Marsalis.
The Primo Artists Intern will assist in a wide range of responsibilities and will learn understanding of the artist-management side of the performing arts industry. Only the brightest, committed, most passionate and exceptionally detail-oriented candidates will be eligible.
Responsibilities and Exposure may include:
PR/Marketing Support
Assist and manage posting on social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Social media research
Search for designated Artists’ reviews
Miscellaneous
Other special projects as assigned
Skills and Requirements
Current college student or a recent graduate, with passion and background in the performing arts. Classical music training preferred
Must have own computer, access to strong Wi-Fi, iPhone preferred, and ability to utilize MS Office Suite and all social media platforms
Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information
Willingness to learn
Hours
Minimum of 15 hours per week. Work will be done remotely and weekly phone appointments may occur.
Compensation
Position is unpaid; Intern could receive college credit from his/her institution.
