Christian Reif conducts concerts in Canada, France and the Czech Republic
In the month of March, Christian Reif embarks on engagements to Canada, France and the Czech Republic!
Following notable debuts in February from Santa Barbara and Colorado Springs to Lisbon, Portugal, Reif conducts the Symphony Nova Scotia of Canada on a program featuring Dvořák Slavonic Dances and Jocelyn Morlock’s “My Name is Amanda Todd”. He returns to the Orchestre National de Lyon, one of France’s top orchestras, with whom he made his French debut in November 2017. He leads the ONL on two subscription Beethoven-focused programs including Symphony No. 4 and concerti with esteemed French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, juxtaposed with works by Guillaume Connesson and Brett Dean.
Reif ends the month in his Czech debut with the Brno Philharmonic on a program featuring Schumann Symphony No. 3 and works by contemporary composers Erkki-Sven Tüür and Pēteris Vasks.
