Cristian Măcelaru conducts the Orchestre National de France

The 22/23 season of Radio France concerts has just been revealed on France Musique in the show En Pistes!

The new 22/23 season embraces all music, is open to all audiences and radiates thanks to the four permanent musical formations of Radio France carried by their musical directors (Cristian Măcelaru, Mikko Franck, Lionel Sow, Sofi Jeannin).
The Orchestre National de France celebrates César Franck for the bicentenary of his birth. Ambassador of French music, the Orchestra will make this repertoire heard in Paris and more, thanks to the Grand Tour du National and throughout the world through major international tours in Germany and China.

# CÉSAR FRANCK BICENTENNIAL WITH THE ORCHESTRE NATIONAL DE FRANCE

The bicentenary of the birth of César Franck will be celebrated in 2022 by the Orchestre National. Three concerts will be given Psyche, Redemption, Symphonic Variations, The Djinns and the Symphony in D minor.

# ORCHESTRE NATIONAL DE FRANCE, AMBASSADOR OF FRENCH CULTURE IN FRANCE AND ABROAD

From Fauré to Ravel, including Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Franck, Offenbach and Messiaen, more than 30 concerts including works by French composers are given this season.

Ambassador of French culture, the Orchestre National de France is travelling for two major international tours: the first one in Germany and Austria and going to Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna at the end of 2022, with soloists Daniil Trifonov and Xavier de Maistre, the second one in China in spring 2023, with the violinist Renaud Capuçon, artist in residence at Radio France this season.

But the Orchestre National de France, as its name suggests, is the orchestra of all of France. In addition to his international tours and concerts in the regional capitals, one of his missions, thanks to the Grand Tour du National, is to bring music to cities where symphony formations rarely performed.

# THE NATIONAL ORCHESTRA OF FRANCE AND THE MAIN PAGES OF THE REPERTOIRE

The Orchestre National de France does not forget the great pages of the repertoire with evenings devoted to the most beautiful works for violin, the complete Schumann symphonies, The Creation by Joseph Haydn and Schubert’s Symphony No. 5.

The Orchestre National de France also premieres three works: a symphony for trumpet and orchestra by Ibrahim Maalouf, a violin concerto by Camille Pépin and a concerto for quartet and orchestra by Bruno Mantovani.
