On September 11, 2021, violinist Randall Goosby performed at the National September 11th Twentieth Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Goosby performed “Adoration” by Florence Pricewith pianist Zhu Wang at Ground Zero at 10:00am EDT, in between the first moment of silence symbolizing the fall of the South Tower and ahead of the moment of silence symbolizing Flight 93’s crash in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Goosby and Zhu’s performance of “Adoration,” amidst moments of silence, symbolized the potential for national unity and strength, a universal message advocating friendship, unity and perseverance.
