Introducing Primo Artists

We are pleased to announce the formation of Primo Artists! Based in New York, we are a new classical music agency established to become one of the leading artist management agencies in North America. Founded in January by Charlotte Lee, the agency prides itself on its selective roster of several of the world’s finest classical artists, from rising stars to household names: violinist/conductor Itzhak Perlman, violinists Nicola Benedetti and Arnaud Sussmann, and conductor Cristian Macelaru. On March 9th, Itzhak Perlman made a historic appearance at Madison Square Garden as a surprise guest at Billy Joel's sold-out concert! The two living legends brought the house down with “The Downeaster Alexa” and “And So It Goes”.

This month, Perlman also made a debut in a new Bank of New York Mellon TV commercial. The commercial has a comedic twist and can be viewed here.

Conductor Cristian Macelaru has had a string of massive successes over the last month in New York, Baltimore and Philadelphia. In February he made a highly successful Carnegie Hall debut with Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Danish National Symphony, following an 11-concert tour with the orchestra through Germany and the U.S. Eastcoast. Returning to his hometown orchestra, Macelaru led the Philadelphia Orchestra on Beethoven 6 in subscription concerts last week. Read the Philadelphia Inquirer review here.
