Founded by industry leader Charlotte Lee and considered the most modern agency in the field, Primo Artists has a selective roster of several of the world’s finest classical artists: Violinists Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Nicola Benedetti and Randall Goosby, pianists Seong-Jin Cho and Beatrice Rana, conductors Cristian Măcelaru, James Gaffigan, Christian Reif and Gemma New, and composers Valerie Coleman and Wynton Marsalis. With nearly 25,000 followers of our channels, we recently expanded into Social Media Management and PR and represent a growing roster of clients to optimize and build their presence in an ever-evolving digital world.

Primo Artists seeks a Social Media Assistant to join our team. This position reports to the Company’s Social Media and Publicity Manager.

The Social Media Assistant will assist in managing the digital and social media presence for the agency and for our Social Media Management clients. There will be opportunity for promotion to Social Media Coordinator depending on the Social Media Assistant’s leadership and performance.

We are looking for a self-motivated and collaborative team member who is undaunted by challenges in a fast-paced environment, as well as passionate and knowledgeable about classical music. The candidate must be professional, proactive, well-organized and detailed-oriented, impeccable in his/her communication skills, and able to multi-task without guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in management of social-media channels and all published digital content

  • Create copy and execute/lead graphic design of all digital and social media content

  • Communicate with growing roster of Social Media clients

  • Drive consistent adoption of digital and social media best practices

  • Liaise with internal and external partners such as record labels and concert presenters

  • Manage a team of social media interns

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Impeccable and efficient attention to detail

  • High aptitude yet willingness to learn

  • In-depth knowledge and effective use of social-media platforms

  • Proficiency with graphic design and image-editing software

  • Self-motivation, responsiveness and intuition to anticipate needs

  • Mastery in handling and prioritizing a large workload

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends each week

  • Bachelor’s degree and classical-music background

  • Experience in the performing-arts industry is a plus
